I’m in the mood for knitwear. Chunky ones.
I guess I still miss it. My favourite knitwear piece ever. It was a chunky sweater in stripes – cream, orange and black, and had such an interesting weave that, combined with the choice of yarn weight, allowed it to kind of dance when I moved. I would pair it with either a short skirt or skinny jeans, and feel on top of the world. That was amazingly ten years ago, those days when I knew little about fashion and trends. I simply dressed myself by instinct, by playing with silhouettes, textures, colours and proportions.

[[More]] since it’s now the beginning of winter in the other parts of the world, and women are keeping themselves warm in cute chunky knit tops, and since Saigon, unusually, is still wrapped in a thick haze every morning.

But I’m going to settle myself for just a bulky, not chunky, sweater. Something made from a soft, lightweight fabric, something I can recycle over and over again in our type of weather. Lightweight yet structured, and not least importantly must be cotton or wool, not acrylic - this is going to be another indefinite quest, but should be possible please!
P.S. My favourite sweater drooped over the time, and I broke my heart to put it to the pile of aged clothes. Been annoying my sister ever since by asking her, now and again, to try to find it back for me :’(
